The Way Latina

More than just an e-magazine, The Way Latina is above all an information portal dedicated to topics and current events in Latin America.

This region of the world, which is comprised of South America, Central America and Mexico, is spread over a vast area of 22 million km² and has over 580 millions inhabitants. The history of this continent, notably from the colonial conquests until its independence, has had and still has strong links with Europe and with its northern neighbor, the United States. This is one of the many reasons which make Latin America one of the most interesting regions of the world. Our purpose is to give a real insight into Latin America through various topics: politics, the economy, culture… The idea behind this magazine is to give our readers clear information on precise subjects relating to Latin America. Of course, the aim of this magazine is not to compete with the daily newspapers but, on the contrary, to bring our readers a new vision compared to the more traditional media. Using the Internet as a media platform allows us to break away from the usual editorial styles, often repetitive and too conventional.

Our aim is to offer high quality original articles, dealing not only with current events but also giving an in-depth analysis of topical matters. Ever conscious of the ethics and the responsibilities which go along with our profession as journalists, we endeavor to report the truth. By commencing a new media era, the Internet enables almost unlimited access to information, which has its advantages but also its disadvantages. Our mission is to encourage our readers to observe and gain understanding by means of fair and objective examination. Latin America deserves to be discovered, to be visited and above all to be understood. From the history of its amazing ancient societies until today, this continent has so much to offer us – and so much to teach us.
